There are two main types of rear view mirrors that attach to the windshield of a car. Electrochromic and Standard. Below are pictures of the two mirrors so that when making your appointment with Austin Windshields, you can correctly identify which type of mirror you have. The mirror bracket comes already glued on to the windshield from the factory. It is important to get the right mirror type because if we bring the wrong windshield, then we can't reattach your mirror.
Look for the little square tab lever at the bottom of the mirror. If the mirror has this tab on the bottom then you know that your mirror is standard. A smooth bottom of the mirror usually indicates an electrochomic mirror.
